Lemonade


Lemonade is a sweetened lemon-flavored beverage. You can find different varieties of lemonade all over the world. Here my version comes up with a tint of minty flavor in sparkling water (soda water). So, my best lemonade recipe starts with an easy simple step, homemade sweet syrup, which is a refreshing, sparkling and cool glass of freshly squeezed lemon juice with mint.

You know, it’s a different feeling when you pluck fresh leaves from your garden, so I picked a handful of mint leaves from my kitchen garden, washed it well and crushed it in a mortar and pestle. And if you don’t have a mortar and pestle in your kitchen, just soak the mint leaves in water for at least 30 minutes. Then mix in sparkling water and serve. Believe me, this is the best way to get the beneficial effect of mint leaves in your appetite.


Well, if you try to stir and dissolve the sugar in chilled sparkling water, it will sink to the bottom and it will be difficult to dissolve. So, to make it in simple way, just make the sugar syrup first by adding normal water sugar together and stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved, then mix the prepared crushed mint leaves.

The sugar and lemon juice can be adjusted as per your liking, (depending on how strong and sweet lemonade you like).



Yield – 4 glasses

Timing – 10 minutes

Prep time – 5-7 minutes

Total- 15-18 minutes


Ingredients:

Sparkling water- 4 glasses

Water- ¼ cup (for simple syrup)

Mint leaves- 2 strings, fresh & crushed

Sugar- 4 tsp

Lemon juice- 1 large



Method-

To make sugar syrup, first place a jar, add plain water and sugar, stir well until sugar is completely dissolved. Stand aside for a moment.


Now place a mortar and pestle and put handful of fresh mint leaves. Crush them and mix in sugar syrup. Fresh lemon juice squeezed in it. Mix & set aside for a minute.


Then, take a large jar or bowl. Add sparkling water and also add the prepared syrup (sugar, mint, lemon juice). Mix well.


Pour the juice into serving pitcher through the strainer. Finally, pour into the glass and serve with ice and sliced lemon.


Note- Dissolve the sugar in plain water and then mix it with the sparkling water. The effects of sparkling water vanish faster, so when you open the bottle, mix, and serve immediately.
